In a landmark recognition of India’s growing leadership in the global fight against money laundering and terrorist financing, Shri Vivek Aggarwal has been appointed the Vice-President of the Financial Action Task Force (FATF). This marks the first time India occupies such a senior position.

The FATF is an inter-governmental body based in Paris that establishes international standards to combat money laundering and terrorist financing. The organization comprises over 200 member jurisdictions.

India's elevation to this role is a testament to the credibility and trust it has built within the FATF Global Network. It builds on India’s successful Mutual Evaluation as well as its contributions to global policy frameworks.
