The International Day of Yoga was celebrated in Leh, Ladakh, where Vice President Shri C. P. Radhakrishnan addressed the gathering, urging citizens to embrace yoga in their daily routines.
He acknowledged yoga as a holistic practice that transcends mere physical exercise, representing a significant heritage of India.
The Vice President also linked the global recognition of yoga to Prime Minister Narendra Modi's initiative in 2014, which led the UN to designate June 21 as the International Yoga Day.
