The Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas, along with the Ministry of Heavy Industries and the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways, held a press conference in New Delhi. Leading experts from the energy and automobile sectors discussed the E20 ethanol-blended petrol program.
During the conference, experts assured that ethanol blending is a scientifically based process, and E20 fuel poses no concern for vehicle owners. Notable figures included Ms. Vartika Shukla, Former CMD, Engineers India Limited, and Shri Vikram Gulati, Country Head of Toyota Kirloskar Motor.
Shri Gulati highlighted that the automotive sector undergoes rigorous testing and certification, stating that the move to E20 was after thorough testing on older vehicles. He classified ethanol as a clean and high-performance fuel.
