The Ministry of Culture, in association with the Government of West Bengal, will organise a special commemorative programme on July 6, 2026, at Milan Mela Prangan, Kolkata, part of the two-year celebration of the 125th Birth Anniversary of Dr. Syama Prasad Mookerjee.
Union Home Minister Amit Shah will attend as Chief Guest. The event will also feature Union Minister of Culture Gajendra Singh Shekhawat, West Bengal Chief Minister Suvendu Adhikari, and other dignitaries.
The programme includes floral tributes at Dr. Mookerjee's residence, foundation stone laying for a 125-foot statue, and a special exhibition on his legacy.
