The BRICS Women Ministerial Meeting commenced in Kochi today under India's BRICS Chairship 2026, bringing together Ministers and Heads of Delegation from BRICS Member Countries to strengthen cooperation and advance women's empowerment.
Smt. Annpurna Devi, Union Minister for Women and Child Development, delivered the inaugural address, emphasizing that women's leadership is essential for building resilient economies and societies.
The meeting concluded with the adoption of the Joint Statement, aimed at enhancing long-term collaboration among BRICS nations, including initiatives like the BRICS Women Digital Repository of Best Practices.
