Union Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal will lead a high-level Indian business delegation to Spain, Belgium and Finland from 13 to 17 July 2026. The visit is designed to deepen India’s economic engagement with Europe through trade, investment, technology, innovation and sustainability.

The delegation includes Indian companies from advanced manufacturing, clean energy, digital technologies, gems and jewellery, food processing, healthcare and design. The itinerary links bilateral business outreach with broader India-European Union economic negotiations and sector-specific cooperation.

What is scheduled in Spain

On 13 July, the minister will focus on bilateral trade and investment and on opportunities linked to the proposed India-European Union Free Trade Agreement (FTA). He will meet Carlos Cuerpo Caballero, Jordi Hereu Boher and José Manuel Albares Bueno.

The minister will also chair an India-Spain Business Roundtable with Spanish companies and industry associations, and participate in another business roundtable with the Chamber of Commerce of Spain, CEOE and ICEX Spain Trade & Investment. The stated sectors include automotive, renewable energy, railways, artificial intelligence, semiconductors, food processing and tourism.
