What happened: cooperative sugar mills in Tendukheda and the Centre’s role
Union Home Minister and Minister of Cooperation Amit Shah stated in a Lok Sabha written reply that the Government of Madhya Pradesh reports no cooperative sugar mills in the Tendukheda Assembly constituency of Narsinghpur district, Madhya Pradesh.
Amit Shah further stated that Narsinghpur district has eight private sugar mills operating currently, of which two sugar mills function within the Tendukheda Assembly constituency.
The Ministry of Cooperation stated that cooperative sugar mills revival in the country is supported through the National Cooperative Development Corporation (NCDC).
