What happened in Bihar under PMBJP in FY 2025-26
The Department of Pharmaceuticals (Ministry of Chemicals and Fertilizers) reported PMBJP operational progress in Bihar for the financial year 2025-26 through expansion of Jan Aushadhi Kendras (JAKs), reported sales, and scheme-based pricing for selected health products.
Reported operational numbers for Bihar in FY 2025-26:
410 Jan Aushadhi Kendras (JAKs) were opened in Bihar in FY 2025-26.Among these, 3 JAKs were opened in Government Hospitals.309 JAKs were opened in rural areas.₹219.18 crore of sales were recorded in Bihar during FY 2025-26.Estimated citizen savings reported for the same period were approximately ₹876.72 crore.
The Department of Pharmaceuticals also reported menstrual hygiene availability under Jan Aushadhi Suvidha Sanitary Napkins through JAKs:
Jan Aushadhi Suvidha Sanitary Napkins were made available through JAKs at ₹1 per pad.During FY 2025–26, more than 1.17 crore Jan Aushadhi Suvidha Sanitary Napkins were sold through JAKs in Bihar.
