What happened (TDB–DST financial assistance to Ortho Graft for advanced tissue-derived dressings)
The Technology Development Board (TDB), Department of Science & Technology (DST), Government of India extended financial assistance to Ortho Graft Pvt. Ltd., Vadodara (Gujarat). TDB’s support is for the project titled “Production Set-up for Advanced Tissue Derived Biological Dressings.”
Ortho Graft’s project aims to build manufacturing capabilities for indigenous biological dressings intended for clinical wound-care applications, including chronic wounds, diabetic foot ulcers, and burns.

Ortho Graft is described as a DPIIT-recognised medical device startup working on tissue substitutes for clinical reconstruction and functional repair.
The company is developing proprietary technologies that process viable human tissue into shelf-stable tissue substitutes while retaining key biological and structural characteristics relevant to wound healing. The project centres on an advanced tissue-processing methodology designed to: (a) achieve effective cellular removal, and (b) preserve tissue quality and bioactive components.
