What happened (government action and reported allocations)
The Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment reported continued strengthening of educational support for Scheduled Caste students under the Centrally Sponsored Scheme of Post-Matric Scholarships for Scheduled Castes. The scheme provides financial assistance to eligible students pursuing post-matric and post-secondary education. PIB figures show a rising Revised Budget Estimate from 2023–24 to 2025–26, alongside reported actual expenditure and Central releases to States and Union Territories.
