Advisor to the Prime Minister Tarun Kapoor conducted a two-day visit to Belgaria and Karmatand townships in Dhanbad to review rehabilitation and livelihood initiatives under the Jharia Master Plan (JMP). The review covered support for families affected by Jharia mine fires, interactions with rehabilitated residents, and assessment of education facilities and skill-training efforts, including the BCCL Multi Skill Development Institute (MSDI-IV) in collaboration with the National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC).
During the visit, Tarun Kapoor reviewed how BCCL and other agencies are supporting skill development and livelihood generation, including reports of training completion and ongoing training for youth in multiple trades.
