Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath launched the welfare initiative “Lokmata Ahilyabai Matrushakti Yatra.”
Under “Lokmata Ahilyabai Matrushakti Yatra,” women aged 60 and above can travel at no cost on Uttar Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation (UPSRTC) buses.
The launch event took place at Indira Gandhi Pratishthan, and special buses were flagged for the scheme.
The state’s stated women’s welfare approach links support across life stages through programmes covering education, marriage, housing, nutrition, and pensions.
