What happened
Syrian President Ahmed al-Sharaa said Syria is seeking a security agreement with Israel. He presented the security agreement as a way to open a path toward peace while avoiding surrender of Syria’s rights connected to the Golan Heights. Syrian President Ahmed al-Sharaa also said Syria wants to involve additional countries to increase pressure on Israel to adopt a more balanced approach in the security situation.
