Karnataka reported 6,805 installed electric vehicle (EV) charging stations as of 29 July, based on government data shared in the Rajya Sabha in response to an unstarred question dated 7 August. Maharashtra reported 6,985 installed charging stations, placing Maharashtra above Karnataka.
Karnataka’s charging-station count is about 180 fewer than Maharashtra’s. Karnataka accounts for nearly 13% of India’s total of 52,718 installed charging stations.
