A special panel in a news feature presents the perspective of Dalit families and/or the Dalit community. The panel explains why anger can persist even after a court acquittal and why many people still ask for identification of the perpetrators.
The panel also describes how Dalit families connect their sense of justice with confidence in what actually happened. Even where a legal outcome exists, the panel indicates that families may feel the truth has not been conclusively established in their eyes.
