Bharat Coking Coal Ltd. (BCCL), a subsidiary of Coal India Ltd., reported a loss of ₹68.09 crore for the June quarter. In the same quarter of the previous year, the company had reported a profit of ₹176.87 crore.
The company’s revenue from operations slipped to ₹3,587.27 crore from ₹3,719.59 crore in the corresponding quarter. Expenses rose during the quarter, which contributed to the loss. The financial filing was submitted to the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE).
