What happened
Delhi Metro closed the entry and exit gates at 16 stations for seven hours because of restrictions around a protest. The disruption affected commuters on the Violet, Yellow and Blue lines and led to major inconvenience at stations and onboard trains.
Passengers reported that they learnt about the closures only after boarding trains or after reaching the stations. Several commuters said the communication on closures was not adequate and that they had to reroute their journeys at short notice.
