The Union Ministry of Jal Shakti’s monitoring and appraisal wing has asked Telangana to return Central Assistance connected to nine ongoing projects under the Pradhan Mantri Krishi Sinchayee Yojana. The ministry said the amount to be returned is ₹36.34 crore, and the claim rises to ₹54.22 crore after interest.
The ministry also said Telangana had earlier requested that funding for 11 dropped projects be adjusted against the nine ongoing projects. The ministry warned that if the projects are not completed within the stipulated timeline, the released money may be treated as a loan to the state.
