What happened in Rajasthan Assembly on the Monsoon Session day

Rajasthan Assembly was adjourned twice on Friday because Congress MLAs continued sloganeering. Congress MLAs alleged they were denied entry through the regular gate of the Rajasthan Assembly building on the first day of the Monsoon Session.

As a result, Question Hour could not be conducted, and Zero Hour proceedings were also affected.

Opposition leader Tika Ram Jully raised the allegation in the House and demanded an inquiry. Speaker Vasudev Devnani did not permit raising the matter during Question Hour. Persistent disruption led to repeated appeals for order by the Speaker and adjournments until noon and then until 1 p.m.

After the House resumed, Congress MLAs continued sloganeering, and Rajasthan Assembly still proceeded with several legislative items, including the introduction of the Uniform Civil Code (UCC) Bill.
