Reliance Industries reported a **22.4% decline** in standalone net profit to **₹20,946 crore** for the quarter ended **30 June 2026**. The decline is important because the same period also showed a strong rise in revenue, which reached **₹3,11,850 crore**, up **25.41%** year-on-year.

The profit comparison was affected by a one-off item in the base quarter. The quarter ended June 2025 included **₹8,924 crore** in gains from the sale of **Asian Paints** shares, which lowered the year-on-year comparability of profit.

Reliance Industries said most business segments performed well despite challenges linked to the **West Asia conflict**. The company’s shares rose about **2.5%** ahead of the results and closed at **₹1,326.50** on the **Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE)**.

What changed in the business segments

The quarterly results showed broad-based growth across key businesses:

**Jio Platforms** revenue rose around **12%** year-on-year, supported by subscriber market-share gains, higher average revenue per user, and growth in digital services.
