What happened (Patna High Court order)
The Patna High Court ordered transfer of a habeas corpus case involving a missing youth to the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) on August 7, 2026, after examining the case record.
The allegation is that Sanoj Kumar was unlawfully detained by Excise Police officials in Bhojpur district under Bihiya police station jurisdiction on August 13, 2025.
Sanoj Kumar’s father, Gauri Shankar Ram, filed a writ of habeas corpus and sought a CBI probe on May 17, 2026.
