What happened
Union Home Minister Amit Shah said the government would hold a full debate in Parliament on protests linked to allegations relating to the NEET question-paper leak.
Amit Shah offered discussion from 3 p.m. on the day the Monsoon Session was scheduled to end until 3 p.m. the next day, and said he would remain in the House to listen and respond.
Amit Shah said the government had nothing to hide and accused the Opposition of not allowing Parliament to function. Amit Shah also said he had been attending Parliament regularly since protests began on July 20.
Opposition leader Rahul Gandhi rejected Amit Shah’s proposal. Rahul Gandhi said protesters and youth want answers about who allegedly ordered firing on demonstrators and who allegedly ordered a police assault, and Rahul Gandhi said protesters did not want a lecture from the Home Minister.
