India’s BRICS Chairship 2026 education diplomacy was reflected in the 13th BRICS Education Ministers’ Meeting. The meeting adopted the 13th BRICS Education Ministers’ Declaration, which acknowledged two parts of India’s initiatives: (1) an International Skill Gap Study and (2) a proposal for BRICS Guiding Principles on strengthening academic collaboration on traditional and indigenous knowledge systems.
The Declaration also invited interested BRICS members to participate in the International Skill Gap Study on a voluntary basis.
