The Department of Fisheries and the Department of Animal Husbandry and Dairying celebrated International Day of Yoga (IDY) 2026 on June 21, at Krishi Bhawan, New Delhi. The event was attended by key officials including Shri George Kurian, Minister of State for Fisheries, and other senior officers, emphasizing the importance of yoga in everyday life.
The celebration commenced with a live telecast of the Prime Minister’s address, followed by a guided yoga session. Participants were encouraged to embrace yoga for physical fitness, mental well-being, and stress management, contributing to a balanced lifestyle.
