29th National Conference on e-Governance (NCeG) 2026 to be held in Jaipur; theme on AI-enabled secure digital governance
Jaipur will host the 29th National Conference on e-Governance in 2026, with artificial intelligence, data-driven administration, and secure digital public services as the central theme.
- The two Union bodies are jointly organising the National Conference on e-Governance 2026 with the State Government of Rajasthan.
- The conference will take place in Jaipur, Rajasthan, on 1-2 July 2026 and will focus on artificial intelligence-enabled, data-driven, and secure digital governance.
- The awards will recognise 17 initiatives across seven categories and will cover Central Ministries/Departments, States, Union Territories, district administration, gram panchayats, and academic or research institutions.
What happened
The Department of Administrative Reforms & Public Grievances and the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology will organise the 29th National Conference on e-Governance (NCeG) 2026 on 1-2 July 2026 in Jaipur, Rajasthan. The conference theme is “Viksit Bharat 2047: AI-enabled, Data-driven & Secure Digital Governance.”
The conference will be inaugurated by Bhajan Lal Sharma, Chief Minister of Rajasthan. Col. Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore, Minister for Information Technology and Communication, Government of Rajasthan, will also participate.
UPSC may ask how artificial intelligence can improve public service delivery while preserving data security, privacy, accountability, and inclusion in digital governance. A mains answer can connect e-governance with citizen-centric administration, bridging the digital divide, and institutional safeguards for secure digital public services.
