NITI Aayog released a report titled "Strategic Roadmap for Making Ayurveda Global" on July 2, 2026, which details a phased approach for Ayurveda's expansion internationally.
Dr. Ashok Kumar Lahiri highlighted the opportunity to position India as a leader in traditional medicine, which could also contribute to economic growth.
The report proposes a three-pillar framework focusing on Availability, Acceptability, and Propagation to support the globalization of Ayurveda.
