The National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) has taken suo motu cognizance of a report regarding the loss of a toddler's eyesight due to alleged medical negligence at Banda Civil Hospital, Sagar district, Madhya Pradesh.
The toddler was taken for treatment of a cold and eye redness, but reportedly received nasal drops in his eyes, leading to an infection and eventual loss of vision.
