India to Chair UNCTAD Session
India will chair the Ninth Session of the Intergovernmental Group of Experts (IGE) on Consumer Protection Law and Policy, organized by the United Nations Trade and Development (UNCTAD) at the Palais des Nations, Geneva, Switzerland, from 06 to 08 July 2026.
The session will gather Member States, international organizations, consumer protection authorities, and other stakeholders to discuss emerging issues in consumer protection.
India's participation reflects its commitment to enhance international consumer protection efforts, notably exemplified by its contribution during the Ninth United Nations Conference on Competition and Consumer Protection held in July 2025.
