What happened: GDCBA marks six months and sets out a next-phase plan
India’s Capacity Building Commission (CBC) initiative, the Global Digital Capacity Building Alliance (GDCBA), marked six months on 21 August 2026. CBC stated that GDCBA was launched on 20 February 2026 at the India AI Impact Summit in New Delhi and has been growing as a platform for international cooperation on public-sector capacity building.
GDCBA’s stated goals for public-sector capacity building
CBC described four goals for GDCBA:
Strengthen institutional capability across public-sector systems.Support evidence-informed capacity-building decisions (capacity-building choices backed by evidence).Foster a global community of practice for governance (a shared network that exchanges methods and experience).Build a repository of implementation knowledge (case studies and practical guidance).
