The Department of Animal Husbandry & Dairying (DAHD), under the Ministry of Fisheries, Animal Husbandry & Dairying, hosted the National Workshop on Compartmentalization and Zoning for Foot & Mouth Disease (FMD) on 8 July 2026 at Bhubaneswar, Odisha.
The workshop aims to discuss strategies for FMD control, adhering to international standards, boosting India’s animal health systems, and supporting the national goal of achieving FMD-free status by 2030.
Several digital initiatives were launched, including the Rate My Laboratory App and the Dairy Vikas Portal, which aim to improve service delivery in the veterinary sector.
