The Ministry of Fisheries, Animal Husbandry and Dairying said that the Union government is using three flagship livestock programmes to support milk production, farmer incomes, and rural employment. Shri Rajiv Ranjan Singh said the government is implementing the National Livestock Mission (NLM), the Livestock Health and Disease Control Programme (LHDCP), and the Animal Husbandry Infrastructure Development Fund (AHIDF) to promote entrepreneurship, breed improvement, disease control, veterinary infrastructure, and affordable veterinary medicines.
