What happened
The Ministry of New and Renewable Energy announced the Bharat Renewable Energy Summit & Expo (BRE Summit & Expo) 2026 to be held at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi, from 2nd to 5th November 2026. The Ministry also stated that the Prime Minister has agreed to inaugurate the summit, which will be launched through the “URJHA Chakra” official logo and a dedicated digital portal and mobile application.
What happened inside the summit design
BRE Summit & Expo 2026 is positioned as a single platform that connects India’s renewable energy scaling with global institutions (International Solar Alliance) and a specific technology track (green hydrogen). UPSC framing can test how such platforms support technology partnerships, investment pipelines, and cooperative federalism—without confusing event announcements with policy outcomes or targets achieved.
