What happened: Prime Minister interaction with Viksit Vibrant Village Program 2026 participants

Prime Minister Narendra Modi interacted with participants of the Viksit Vibrant Village Program 2026. Prime Minister Modi welcomed youth participants and said they represented “around two hundred and fifty districts” across India.

Prime Minister Modi praised the expansion of the “Mera Yuva Bharat - MY Bharat” platform, describing it as reaching “crores of young citizens.” Prime Minister Modi linked youth work connected to the MY Bharat network with the Viksit Bharat Dialogue and the Viksit Vibrant Village Program.

Background: youth immersion idea and border-village exposure

Prime Minister Modi said the ground-level idea of sending youth beyond virtual interaction originated during the Viksit Bharat Young Leaders Dialogue. Prime Minister Modi described the vision as helping youth understand India’s realities at the grassroots level.

Prime Minister Modi stated that the Viksit Vibrant Village Program involved sending youth to border villages in Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, and Ladakh. Prime Minister Modi said over 400 youth were selected from three lakh participants for the border village immersion.
