What happened: mapping of rural households and women SHGs on DAY-NRLM digital platforms
The Ministry of Rural Development reported that the Deendayal Antyodaya Yojana – National Rural Livelihoods Mission (DAY-NRLM) digital platform has mapped a large scale of rural socio-economic actors. The Ministry stated that 10.05 crore rural households are mapped on the DAY-NRLM digital platform. The Ministry also stated that 92 lakh women Self-Help Groups (SHGs) are mapped on the DAY-NRLM digital platform.
What the SHG digital systems capture: credit linkage and bank loans to women SHGs
The Ministry stated that financial linkage and credit access of women SHGs under DAY-NRLM are maintained through the SHG Bank Linkage Portal. The SHG Bank Linkage Portal captures information on credit accessed by SHGs from banks, supporting tracking of bank-linkage credit flow to women SHGs.
The Ministry reported a total credit disbursement to SHGs of Rs. 13,41,852.66 crores (credit disbursement total as stated by the Government in the Lok Sabha written reply).
