What happened: PM Modi chairing the second review meeting on Viksit Bharat action agenda
Prime Minister Narendra Modi chaired the second high-level meeting with Secretaries of the Government of India. The meeting took place at the Prime Minister’s residence at 7, Lok Kalyan Marg on 30 July 2026.
The Prime Minister reviewed the future action agenda of Ministries and Departments dealing with three clusters: Finance and Economy, Commerce and Industry, and Technology. The stated focus was accelerating progress towards the goals of Viksit Bharat.

Key points raised by Prime Minister Narendra Modi included: Team building across Ministries and Departments (building work cohesion) with officers working with a shared sense of purpose.Breaking horizontal and vertical silos (reducing compartmentalised working across departments and levels) so Ministries function in close coordination and deliver integrated outcomes.Citizen-centric governance (keeping people at the centre of administration) where every policy decision should be guided by common citizens’ interests and aspirations.
