What happened (monthly accounts up to June 2026 for FY 2026-27)

The Ministry of Finance consolidated the monthly accounts of the Government of India up to the month of June 2026 (Financial Year 2026-27) and published the reports, along with key highlights on receipts, transfers to States, and expenditure.

Government receipts up to June 2026 were reported as:

₹10,49,243 crore total receipts, reported as 28.7% of corresponding BE 2026-27 (Budget Estimates)₹6,36,576 crore tax revenue (net to the Centre)₹3,77,664 crore non-tax revenue₹35,003 crore non-debt capital receipts

Transfers to States via tax devolution up to June 2026 were reported as ₹2,63,336 crore, described as ₹63,605 crore lower than the previous year’s level for the same period.

Total expenditure incurred by the Government of India up to June 2026 was reported as ₹13,57,076 crore (reported as 25.4% of corresponding BE 2026-27), split into:
