What happened: IEPFA and NeGD engage Companies’ Nodal Officers for Integrated IEPFA Portal 2.0

The Investor Education and Protection Fund Authority (IEPFA), under the Ministry of Corporate Affairs, Government of India, collaborated with the National e-Governance Division (NeGD) to organise a stakeholder engagement session with Companies’ Nodal Officers. The session demonstrated proposed modules—Claimant and e-Verification Report (EVR)—for the Integrated IEPFA Portal 2.0 and aimed to collect practical feedback ahead of the portal rollout.

Ms. Anita Shah Akella (CEO, IEPFA and Joint Secretary, Ministry of Corporate Affairs) led the session along with senior officials of IEPFA and the NeGD project team. Companies’ Nodal Officers received a walkthrough of the proposed modernised portal and discussed operational suggestions based on their experience.

Background and earlier position: Investor claim processing needs company verification workflows

IEPFA functions under the Ministry of Corporate Affairs and works to support investor education and investor protection. In investor claims connected to companies, the processing chain requires data and verification inputs from companies. The stakeholder engagement focused on improving the digital workflow used for claimant handling and companies’ e-verification responsibilities through a dedicated portal.
