What happened (Rajya Sabha update on Tamil Nadu’s Scheduled Tribes programmes)
Union Minister for Tribal Affairs Shri Durgadas Uikey informed Rajya Sabha that the Government implements Scheduled Tribes socio-economic development programmes in Tamil Nadu through Ministry of Tribal Affairs schemes, in convergence with the State Government of Tamil Nadu. The Ministry implements both Central Sector schemes and Centrally Sponsored Schemes aimed at development of tribal habitations and infrastructure.
