On 13 August 2026, Minister of State (Ind. Charge) Science & Technology; Earth Sciences and Minister of State PMO; Personnel, Public Grievances and Pensions; Department of Atomic Energy and Space, Jitendra Singh, provided a written reply in the Lok Sabha on schemes and statistics related to women’s career progression in STEM research. The Government linked women’s participation trends in STEM research careers with identified barriers and then listed schemes that support women researchers returning after career breaks.
