What happened: parliamentary consultation on TB Mukt Bharat
Union Minister for Health and Family Welfare Jagat Prakash Nadda interacted with Members of Parliament from Jharkhand and Odisha on the sidelines of the Monsoon Session of Parliament. The interaction included Union Minister of State for Health and Family Welfare & Chemicals and Fertilizers Anupriya Patel, and Union Minister of State for Defence Sanjay Seth.
The interaction was held under the theme “Parliamentarians Championing a TB Mukt Bharat”. Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha MPs from both States participated across party lines. The stated aim was to accelerate TB elimination through political leadership, community participation, and last-mile delivery of TB services.
What happened in the review: 100-Day TB Mukt Bharat Abhiyaan outcomes
The interaction reviewed progress under the recently concluded 100-Day TB Mukt Bharat Abhiyaan, implemented in two phases to accelerate TB elimination efforts.
The second phase was launched on March 24, 2026 and covered nearly 1.58 lakh high-risk villages and urban wards across India. The campaign concluded in July 2026.
