What happened: allegations of assault and absence of FIR registration

Delhi Police stated that Delhi Police has not received any complaint against a right-wing leader for alleged assaulting two teenagers during a recently concluded protest at Jantar Mantar.

A 16-year-old from Bareilly, Uttar Pradesh, who travelled to attend the protest, stated that the 16-year-old contacted the Deputy Commissioner of Police, New Delhi, to file an FIR.

Delhi Police stated that videos uploaded by Satyam Pandit, president of the Hindu Rashtra Veer Sena, show Satyam Pandit and associates verbally abusing and assaulting the 16-year-old and the 16-year-old’s friend, who is also a minor.
