Gross GST collections in July increased 15.4% to over ₹2.11 lakh crore. July collections were reported at ₹1.95 lakh crore, compared with ₹1.83 lakh crore in the same month last year.
Break-up of the rise: domestic transactions versus imports
July growth was attributed to stronger collections from domestic transactions (GST on domestic sales) and imports (GST on imported goods).
