What happened (demand and claims)
CPI Rajya Sabha member P. Sandosh Kumar wrote to Prime Minister Narendra Modi seeking an end to what he described as systematic harassment and intimidation of students who participated in NEET paper leak protests. P. Sandosh Kumar said the protest was a genuine expression of students’ frustration.
In his letter, P. Sandosh Kumar made three central requests/claims: he demanded withdrawal of all cases against students connected with the protests; he claimed students who documented the protests through social media faced threats in the national capital; and he claimed other students faced harassment at home, with families also subjected to social pressure.
P. Sandosh Kumar further alleged that intimidation of students came from RSS workers and BJP leaders.
