What happened: women-only special buses from Delhi University
Lieutenant-Governor Taranjit Singh Sandhu and Chief Minister Rekha Gupta flagged off 56 women-only special buses at the Delhi University Sports Complex. Out of the 56 women-only buses, 26 buses operate on Delhi University routes.
Electric bus rollout connected to the same Delhi–Karnal corridor
Chief Minister Rekha Gupta linked the women-only bus initiative with electric bus capacity expansion for the Delhi–Karnal e-bus service. The reported additions include:
200 new electric buses launched for the Delhi–Karnal e-bus service.Opening of an EV (electric vehicle) charging station at Rajghat Depot-1.Air-conditioned electric bus operations described between Kashmere Gate and Karnal, with multiple daily trips in each direction.
