Astrobase, a Bengaluru-based space company, unveiled what it says is India’s first privately built 800 kN Full-Flow Staged Combustion (FFSC) LOX–Methane rocket engine. Astrobase named the engine EVEREST and described it as an FFSC engine at high thrust developed by a private company. Astrobase also claimed that EVEREST makes it the fourth commercial company globally to successfully develop such a high-thrust FFSC engine.
