What happened
The Central Government is examining whether to remove restrictions on cross-ownership between airports and airlines. If the policy changes, airport operators could own airlines, and airline groups could buy stakes in airports. The Civil Aviation Ministry is preparing a concept note for consultations, and any change will require Cabinet approval.
