The Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) has revised its standard operating procedures in Manipur after an ambush killed two personnel. The change matters because force movement itself has become a vulnerability in a conflict-affected state.
The revised protocol focuses on tighter coordination among camps and movement points, fewer unnecessary movements, and stricter rules for vehicle and personnel movement. The CRPF has also added precautions for situations involving women or civilians.
