What happened
Indian judoka Arun Kumar was withdrawn from the Glasgow Commonwealth Games after an out-of-competition doping test returned positive. The athlete competes in the 73kg category and had earlier participated in the Qingdao Grand Prix.
India’s National Anti-Doping Agency (NADA) placed Arun Kumar under provisional suspension. The immediate consequence is his removal from the Commonwealth Games entry list, pending the anti-doping process.
