What happened in the Bombay High Court

The Bombay High Court reserved its order on the Goa government’s appeal against the acquittal of journalist Tarun Tejpal in a 2013 sexual assault case.

The Goa Bench of the Bombay High Court, comprising Justices Dr. Neela Gokhale and Amit Jamsandekar, reserved the decision after hearing arguments from both the prosecution (Goa government) and the defence.

A major focus during arguments was whether Tarun Tejpal’s purported apology email to the complainant amounted to an admission of guilt.

The Bombay High Court did not announce the date of its ruling.
