What happened (conviction and sentence in the passport fraud case)
A special CBI (Central Bureau of Investigation) court in Chennai sentenced underworld don Chhota Rajan to seven years of rigorous imprisonment and imposed a ₹55,000 fine after convicting him in a passport fraud case.
The court found Chhota Rajan guilty of the following conduct in the passport fraud case:
- Cheating
- Forgery
- Impersonation
